Each year My Golf Spy puts out the most anticipated survey about golf drivers. Close to 10,000 people participate in the survey stating whether they are happy with their driver, if they would replace it, how long the driver was a good fit for them, and more. One of the major categories of the My Golf Spy Driver Satisfaction Survey is club fitting. People voted on whether or not they were fitted for their drivers and if that fitting turned out to be a good one or not. Were You Fitted For Your Driver
More than 40% of survey participants were fitted for a driver, another 30 percent of people hit the driver before purchasing. There was 30 percent of people that decided not to get fitted at all. These numbers are much different than they would have been ten years ago.
For the most part, people were just purchasing clubs directly from the shelf, but this is not the case in today’s golf world. This survey shows that golfers are finally starting to understand the importance of a golf club fitting.

Likelihood of Recommending Fitting Location
Survey participants were asked if they would be likely to recommend their fitting location again. More than 50% of people were more than likely to recommend True Spec to a friend to go and get a fitting done. True Spec fell just behind manufacturers fitting location and Cool Clubs.
Manufacturers fitting locations tend to be the most popular and thorough fitting, but you will need to be sold on a particular brand before going in for your fitting. True Spec offers a completely brand-agnostic fitting.
