I’ve always wanted to get professionally fitted for golf clubs, but year after year I kept putting it off. That changed when a good friend—who is a PGA certified golf instructor—told me about his experience getting fitted by Julie at True Spec. He shared details about the process, the experience, and most importantly, the results. That was enough to spark my interest, but I still wanted to do my own research. After reading countless reviews and learning about the consistently outstanding experiences others had, I was convinced: Julie was the fitter, and True Spec was the place. At the time, I was debating between new clubs from TaylorMade, Mizuno, or Srixon. Then it hit me—what’s the point of buying new clubs if you don’t know whether they’re actually right for your game? Julie starts by collecting data from you hitting your current set, then has you test a wide range of clubs and shafts. From there, she systematically dials in the combination that best suits your swing and playing style. Her knowledge of the game and of club fitting is incredibly impressive. While the amount of information she shares can feel overwhelming at first, she explains everything clearly and makes the entire experience both informative and enjoyable. I walked in not fully knowing what to expect—aside from a few assumptions—and every one of those expectations was exceeded, and then some. Since my fitting, I’ve been telling all my golf buddies that they need to go see Julie. Her reputation for delivering results is well-earned, which is why she’s booked solid months in advance. All the more reason to plan ahead and get yourself professionally fitted by Julie at True Spec. My only regret? Not doing this years ago. A BIG MAHALO, Julie!
