The PXG 0311 Gen 6 golf clubs have hit the market and are on their way to select True Spec fitting locations. With this new PXG 0311 set, we were excited to dive in and see what PXG had to offer. There are two models in this new PXG 0311 Gen 6 line; one offers slightly more forgiveness across the board.
Irons (0311 P Gen 6 and 0311 XP Gen 6)
The 0311 P Gen 6 irons are known for their distance and ball speeds. In addition, the clubs have a very sleek look and impressive workability. What makes the 0311 Gen P 6 irons stand out?
The patented XCOR2 material has quite a bit to do with it.
The XCOR2 material improves the overall feel and allows for a clean look, something we have come to expect from PXG. The PXG 0311 P Gen 6 irons are softer feeling than previous models and come in two finishes, the Chrome or the Xtreme Dark.
Hybrids (0311 Gen 6 and 0311 Gen 6 XF)
If you want to expand out from the iron set and add a few hybrids to the bag, the new line has the PXG 0311 Gen 6 and the Gen 6 XF. The standard Gen6 is a lower spin option for golfers of any level that are looking for fast ball speeds and a bit of forgiveness.
You will also notice plenty of roll on these shots when you get a good one.
The center of gravity in the Gen 6 was moved lower to increase the launch angle and improve dispersion rates. The XF model provides maximum forgiveness and a slightly higher trajectory than the standard Gen 6.
Drivers and Fairways (0311 Gen 6 and 0311 Gen 6 XF)
With the release of the new Gen 6 drivers from PXG, there is now a driver at every price point for players. The PXG 0311 Gen 6 driver is known for both forgiveness and distance. The club head has an adjustable weighting system which is incredibly versatile.
We like that this driver is a mid-spin model. Most brands are going with low spin, but with the data we see at True Spec, not every golfer needs a low-spinning model.
