Utilizing FLTD CG, the P790 irons have a lower center of gravity (CG) in the long irons and progressively shifts higher through the set. Shifting the center of gravity helps golfers launch the ball with more ease will also provide optimal trajectory and spin when it is most needed.
Individual Mass Optimization
TaylorMade utilizes proprietary AI mass optimization to strategically place each gram of mass to achieve specific performance goals. The 2023 models feature advanced thick-thin back wall with redistributed mass to improve performance.
Intelligent Sweet Spot
One of the biggest design improvements to the new P790 design is a larger sweet spot that helps to ensure consistent ball speeds and accuracy.
Optimal Launch, Forgiveness And Feel
TaylorMade’s new internal weighting structure combines forged L-Face, Speed Pocket and up to 38 grams of tungsten to deliver optimal launch and increased forgiveness. An all new internal sound stabilization bar has been combined with ultra light SpeedFoam Air to deliver an even better forged iron feel for the 2023 P790 model.
