I went for the iron fitting with Colin Biles and this fitting experience was top notch. I was fitted for my old set of irons barely 3 years ago at a large chain sports retail store by a "Master Fitter" and rushed out the door with the wrong shaft lengths, stiffness, weight, and the wrong lie angle. Surely enough, I was never comfortable hitting these clubs and ended up breaking/bending ALL OF THEM due to the incorrect shafts and lie angle, conveniently outside of the warranty period offered by Callaway. My fitting experience with Colin and True Spec Golf was the total opposite. As a high handicapper, I was very comfortable the entire time during this fitting. What I mean by that is strings of mishits and not being able to find the sweet spot or square the club face through impact were not met with impatience or negativity, only helpful feedback about why the mishit and encouragement on my great swings. Colin gave me a small pointer during my fitting that changed my angle of attack on the ball from -11º to -4º and got me hitting high draws instead of low spinners. Another thing I really appreciated was how Colin would break up my bad swings. If I topped 3-4 in a row, he puts a different club/shaft combination in my hands and it's like a reset on my approach. Not sure if it was intentional but it seemed like it and that was very beneficial for me. Otherwise you're just rapid firing bad mechanics. I would strongly encourage all golfers of any skill level to consider True Spec Golf and Colin Biles for their next club fitting. Truly a fantastic fitting experience and I will 100% be going in for a driver fitting when the time comes.
