TLDR: Have already recommended to several friends to get fit here, specifically because Colin was awesome. I'm a mid teen handicap playing ~20 year old, off the shelf irons and hand me down driver, woods and wedges. They work, but its time for new stuff and I finally decided to make the plunge and wanted to get a proper fitting. Did some research on local places and Colin had all 5 star reviews, so decided to try it. SOOOOO glad I did. I was looking for a brand agnostic place so I could try different brands as opposed to getting fit into one brand from the start. Got a fitted mid August on a "free fitting with purchase" promo. Have been looking at new clubs for a year or more and finally decided to make it happen. Went with a full bag (driver-woods-irons-wedges) fitting just so everything lined up and I didn't end up with a yardage gap or overlap. The facility was great, Colin worked quickly but let me move at my own pace. He provided solid feedback on club choices, a few (much needed) swing tips, and allowed me to talk thru what I liked or didn't like. It was an awesome experience, and one I wish I had done way sooner. Turns out Colin and I have some mutual friends/acquaintances and had great conversation while getting a great fitting. It made for an overall awesome experience. Colin had a price at the end, and I'm 100% confident I could have saved money by getting the clubs built somewhere else. However, this was my first fitting and I really wanted these clubs to be as perfect as possible, and I didn't want to risk that I wouldn't type the fitting specs in correctly if i ordered them online, or that someone else was going to "own" the end product based on a fitting from a different company. Considering how well the fitting went, I had confidence in the build process to go forward. TruSpec does offer financing thru a third party, so I tried that method and it was quite painful. This isn't on Truspec, but their vendor was terrible to work with-I unfroze my credit, they ran it, told me my credit score and that I qualified for, then said they couldn't process because my credit was still frozen. After 2 days of back and forth (and Truspec trying to help), I just paid for them outright since I wanted to keep the process moving. It was certainly frustrating to not be able to get the interest free financing to work, but not enough to knock Truspec for this. I was told 14-28 days from order to complete build, and after about 2 weeks I got an email that one club head (driver) as on back order. The customer service rep emailing me responded promptly to my questions and agreed the rest of the clubs shouldn't have to wait on just one club. The online tracking tool was nice to see where my clubs were at in the build process, and after 31 days all the clubs showed up. I had a chance to hit range balls today and I'm really happy with them. It's certainly not tour level perfect results, but considering I've not swung a club in a few weeks and these are a different feel, I was very happy with the upgrade. Clubs felt crisp, definitely improvement in distance and accuracy/dispersion. Really happy with the entire process, and Colin was definitely the star of the show.
